The form and cause of conveyor belt damage

(1) Reasons for longitudinal tearing of conveyor belt:
1. The vibration and impact cause the loosening and falling of fasteners, causing the falling of the lining plate of the coal chute and the guide plate.
2. The material is mixed with foreign matters, which are hard and angular, and the coal chute is blocked and squeezed.
3. The idler is damaged and the idler frame is scratched.
4. The conveyor belt is caught by the rack after serious deviation.
5. The broom is drawn into the drum (return broom), the bolt is loose, and there is a sign of bouncing.
(2) Reasons for belt cracking:
1. Due to the limitation of space size, the number of bends of the conveyor belt is large.
2. The joint has been vulcanized more than twice for various reasons.
(3) Reasons for tearing of vulcanized joint:
1. The diameter of the diversion drum is small, and the bending stress of the conveyor belt is large.
2. The quality of the vulcanized joint is poor, especially if it has been vulcanized more than twice, the strength of the joint is significantly reduced, or the canvas layer is cut off during the bonding, or the strength is reduced here.
3. For reversible conveyors, because there is only one direction when lapping up and down, they are easy to be scratched by sharp corners of equipment such as sweepers and unloaders on the belt.
4. The conveyor has short working cycle, frequent starting and high instantaneous tension.
(4) Causes of damage to the adhesive surface:
1. The gap between the lining plate of the guide chute and the adhesive tape is inappropriate, resulting in abnormal wear, or foreign matters embedded in the gap, resulting in abnormal wear or scratch.
2. The material flow rate at the guide chute is inconsistent with the speed of the conveyor belt, and the drop is large, which accelerates the abrasion of the rubber surface.
3. The idler is damaged, causing abnormal wear or scratch of the belt.
4. Operation against rules, welding slag scalding during maintenance.
5. The broom is scratched.
6. The belt slipping will also cause abnormal wear of the belt.
